Everest base camp is where all the action begins. You don’t have to climb Everest to experience the grandeur of Mount Everest and the beauty that surrounds it. Adventurers from all over the world have long dreamed of settings their sights upon Mt. Everest, the undisputed crown jewel of the Himalayas. The famous Everest Base Camp Trek is your chance to get up close and personal with the awe-inspiring massif of the world’s highest mountain. Your journey will take you through the storied Khumbu region of Nepal, home to unrivaled natural beauty and the timeless traditions of local Sherpa culture.

On beginning to end, your trek will be characterized with breathtaking views of forested hills, stark cliffs, mountainside villages, and towering glaciers, a unique fusion of cultural splendor and pristine wilderness will leave an indelible mark upon your memory. There is a tremendous variety of incredible treks in Nepal, but there’s a reason that the Everest Base Camp Trek is consistently regarded as the finest in the world.

Itinerary

Arrive in Kathmandu

Upon your Arrival,we will welcome you in the terminal hall in Tribhuvan international airpot at Kathmandu.We will arranged the hotel and introduced to your trekking guide with whom you can have a prevalent discussion about the trek route,needs and necessities and general suggestions required during the preparation for upcoming adventures. 

Sightseeing & trek preparation in Kathmandu

An afternoon,thamel market will be a good idea to get acquaint with the local.You will have a sightseeing day tour at Kathmandu.Early in the morning ,you will be visiting the hindu shrine of pashupatinath and Buddhist shrine of Boudhanath.you will also be visiting “A city of fine arts”Patan Durbar Square:Lalitpur.Along With Patan Durbar Square,you will be visiting Krishna temple,kumbheswore Temple,Golden Temple and many more. Continuing with the day you will visit the 2000 years old legendary swayambhenath Stupa that is located on the elevation, also nicknamed ‘Monkey-Temple’. The tour ends with the visit of Basantapur Durbar Square flaunting the living goddess Kumari. . In the evening, there will be a welcome dinner serving traditional authentic Nepali food in Kathmandu.

Kathmandu (1,350m) to Lukla (2800m) then Phakding (2,651m)

We will be traveling to Lukla by an early morning flight which takes about 30 mins. Then we walk. It will take about 3-4 hrs to reach Phakding.  We trek to climb up the mountainside on the left bank of the Dudh Koshi. Nupla (5,885m) in just on the opposite bank. We pass several Sherpa villages such as Ghat, Phakding.

Phakding (2,651m) to Namche Bazaar (3,440m: 6-7 hours)

We pass through beautiful pine forests and local settlements on our way to Sagarmatha National Park. Then we ascend on a steep trail to reach Namche Bazaar, the gateway to Mt. Everest and stay overnight.

Acclimatization and rest day in Namche Bazaar (3,440m)

Exploring Namche is always exciting and rewarding. We will rise early for a side trek to Khumjung & Everest View Hotel (3,780m) which will take us about 4 hrs for gorgeous views of Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Kongde and others. Then we hike back to Namche and rest overnight.

Namche Bazaar (3,440m) to Tengboche (3,870m: 6-7 hours)

We descend towards the Dudhkoshi river and pass through a forest trail near the riverbed to reach the largest monastery in the Everest region; the Tengboche Monastery. You will be welcomed by the superb spectacle that is the Himalayas. We will explore the monastery and stay here overnight.

Tengboche (3,870m) to Dingboche (4,400m: 7 hours)

While trekking we pass through dense forests of rhododendron and birch trees all the while admiring the views of Mt.Everest, Lhotse and Ama Dablam. The rest stop will be at Dingboche, a beautiful village in the heart of the mountains where we will be spending the night.

Acclimatization and rest day in Dingboche (4,400m)

We will be spending a day in Dingboche to help us acclimatize to the high altitude. There are choices of hikes to do here. We can climb a ridge located behind the village and see six of the world’s tallest peaks including Lhotse, Makalu, and Cho Oyu admiring the beauty of this place.

Dingboche (4,400m) to Lobuche (4,931m: 6-7 hours)

After leaving Dingboche, today’s hike takes you through windswept pastures and past the lonely huts of yak herders. As you trek towards the tiny settlement of Lobuche, you’ll notice changes in the local terrain. The woodlands of the past few days have now thinned out, replaced with scattered shrubs and rocky, snow-dusted grasslands.

Lobuche (4,931m) to Everest Base Camp (5,364m: 8 hours)

We wake up early for the hike to Kala Patthar, a notable landmark located above Gorakshep for spectacular views of Everest, Nuptse, and Changtse as well as glimpses of the northern flank and summit of Lhotse. After soaking in the magnificence of the place, we then head back to Gorak Shep and trek to Pheriche.

Pheriche (4,371m) to Namche Bazaar (3,440m: 8 hours)

We will be descending all day to reach Namche Bazaar. Namche Bazaar is known by the  tourist hub and the most popular resting stop in the Khumbu region, abundant hotels and lodges, Namche boasts of three small museums, a stupa, a monastery, several bakeries (cafes) and many well-stocked stores hilly settlement is shaped like a horseshoe and positioned in a very unconventional location.

Namche Bazaar (3,440m) to Lukla (2,800m: 7-8 hours)

We will be descending from Namche and head towards Lukla for our flight back to Kathmandu. We will be staying overnight at Lukla.

Lukla to Kathmandu

We will take a domestic flight back to Kathmandu which takes about 45 min.On this journey,You will observe different landscapes, colorful and crowded bazaars etc. At afternoon in Kathmandu City, you can enjoy the Nepalese dinner with ethnic live music  and you can click some pictures as memories of your visit or buy stuff  to take back home.on Evening,you will enjoy farewell dinner party.

Drop off at the airport

As today is your last day in the country we appreciate your decision to choose us as you travel companion. We are honored to be a part of your beautiful memories and hope that we had met your expectations. At the airport, we will be with you in your last moments in the county. Wish you a safe flight back home.
